Magic Marine Daffodil Regatta 2025 Draws 81 Entries Across Three Courses (26-27 April)

The Magic Marine Daffodil Regatta 2025, part of the prestigious Sailjuice Challenge, took place at Ullswater Yacht Club, drawing a vibrant fleet of 81 entries spread over six fleets and three course areas. The event once again confirmed its position as a key early-season fixture in the UK dinghy racing calendar.

This year’s regatta held added significance for several Class Associations that chose to align their spring competition calendars with the event. Notably, strong showings were seen in the MUSTO Skiff, OK Dinghy, Snipe, and RS200 fleets, many of which were using the weekend as a class-specific championship or key ranking event.

Saturday delivered light to moderate breezes, ideal for tactical racing and rewarding consistency and finesse. Sunday brought gustier conditions, challenging sailors with shifts and testing their boat-handling under pressure across all three race areas.

Racing was tight and competitive across all fleets, with several races going right down to the wire. The combination of variable conditions and strong class turnouts made for compelling racing, with some standout performances across the board.
